Why it matters: Supporting 30 people and supporting 3,000 are different jobs.
How to close it honestly: State headcount, number of sites and whether you worked alone or in a team.
Employee relations without detail
Why it matters: Cases show judgement, but they must stay confidential.
How to close it honestly: Describe the type and volume of work, such as disciplinaries or restructures, without any names.
Projects not shown
Why it matters: Policy and change work often sits behind routine tasks.
How to close it honestly: Name one or two projects, such as a handbook rewrite or a recruitment change, and what changed.
Qualifications and systems unclear
Why it matters: Readers look for CIPD level and the HR system you used.
How to close it honestly: State the level you hold, or are studying, and the systems you have used.
Questions that find your real evidence
- How many people did you support, across how many sites?
- Which project changed how the business works?
- What types of cases do you handle most often?
Only add what is true. If you cannot back a line up with a real example, leave it out.
