Scale not stated
Why it matters: Operations can mean a small team or several sites.
How to close it honestly: Give team size, sites or processes, and the budget you were accountable for, where true.
Improvements not measured
Why it matters: "Improved efficiency" is a claim, not evidence.
How to close it honestly: Say what changed and by how much, for example hours saved, errors reduced or cost cut, with the period.
Suppliers and contracts missing
Why it matters: Many operations roles include buying and vendor management.
How to close it honestly: Name the type and value of contracts you managed or negotiated.
Compliance and safety unstated
Why it matters: Health and safety, quality and regulatory duties matter.
How to close it honestly: List the standards or duties you were responsible for, only if true.
Questions that find your real evidence
- How many people, sites or processes were you accountable for?
- What did you change that is still done that way?
- Which supplier relationship did you manage?
Only add what is true. If you cannot back a line up with a real example, leave it out.
