The 4 gaps to check
Range and volume missing
Why it matters: "General admin" could mean almost anything.
How to close it honestly: State the tasks you did most and the volume, such as invoices processed or calls handled, where you know it.
Systems unnamed
Why it matters: Employers search for the software they use.
How to close it honestly: Name the systems you used, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook or a booking system, and what you did in them.
Accuracy and deadlines not shown
Why it matters: Reliability is the key quality.
How to close it honestly: Give one example of meeting a deadline or keeping records accurate, if true.
Team supported unclear
Why it matters: A reader wants to know who relied on you.
How to close it honestly: Say which team or department you supported.
Questions that find your real evidence
- What do you do every day that others rely on?
- Which system do you know best, and what for?
- What did you make simpler for your team?
Only add what is true. If you cannot back a line up with a real example, leave it out.
